As I sat down to share this message with you I took a moment to look out of the window as rain and high winds kicked up a storm.
From the comfort of my desk I watched as telephone wires turned like skipping ropes and a neighbour’s umbrella flipped inside out.
My attention was then drawn to a young tree. I must admit that I hadn’t noticed this sapling before and I found myself surprised by how flexible its trunk was.
The more I focussed on the tree, the less I noticed the weather, there was almost a calmness, a graceful resilience around how it dealt with the storm.
If things come to test you I invite you to think of the small tree somewhere in a Devon garden, moving gently and taking care of itself until the storm passes.
My Best Wishes, Ian Tucker.
